The laws of the universe are natural, unchanging laws that ancient cultures have always known intuitively.
There are 12 universal laws that rule the entire universe. We, human beings, are part of this universe. So we cannot escape the effects of these laws. They are part of our existence and they determine the way our lives unfold.
To understand these laws is to understand how reality works in this universe and how we fit into it.
To apply these laws to our lives with purpose and intention is to create an abundant and fulfilled life.
And this is what it’s all about. Living your truth. Living your true authentic self. Living in alignment with your purpose. Living with purpose. This is what gives meaning to life and brings us joy and peace.
The Divine Creator of our universe has established these laws so there would be some kind of order in our world.
Every aspect of our life is truly affected and governed by the natural laws of the universe. By working in harmony with the laws, you can accomplish anything you can imagine.
To live a rich and abundant life, you must align yourself to the laws of the universe. You must bring your mind into harmony with the laws that govern the universe. When you are in harmony with the universe, your results will be enriching and expanding.
Here is a summary of each law and what they mean for us. I encourage you to approach each one of them with an open mind and an open heart.
1. The Law of Divine Oneness
Also known as “The Law of One”. This is the first and most fundamental law upon which all other laws are built. The law of divine oneness says that we are all connected through creation. Everything in our universe is interconnected. We are all one, and part of the whole. We are all created from the same Divine source. So in that sense, we are all part of the same One.
Each one of us is a drop in the ocean. The drop cannot be separated from the ocean. The drop is the ocean and the ocean is the drop.
This means that our thoughts, words and actions have an impact all around us. Our own existence, with all its choices and experiences, has a ripple effect on the world and the Universe, which we are a part of.
So even if you feel isolated and insignificant, remember that your life does matter and you do make a difference in this world.
2. The Law of Vibration
This law is probably the most important one of all. Once you understand that everything in this universe is energy and vibrates at a certain frequency, you see a clearer picture of how the universe works. Everything in our universe is in constant motion. Nothing is ever still. Every element of our universe has its own specific energy frequency. Energy frequencies that have a similar vibration tend to be attracted to each other.
We each have our own vibrational frequency. And we also have the power to tune our frequency to a higher one. So if you want to attract something to you, you must match the frequency of what you’re wanting to attract into your life.
3. The Law of Correspondence
This law is also called the law of repeating patterns. There are repeating patterns that we can observe throughout the universe. And there are also repeating patterns in our life that are created in our subconscious mind. Some patterns come from our family and tend to repeat themselves through generations. These patterns can either serve us or hold us back. We often call these patterns, belief systems. Our reality is a mirror of the beliefs we hold inside of us.
As we notice our own patterns and are made aware of them, we can determine if they need to be changed to align us better with our goal and purpose.
4. The Law of Attraction
You may already be familiar with this law as it is the most well-known of all the universal laws.
The law of attraction can be used to manifest pretty much anything you desire into your life. It is the law of vibration in action. It states that like attracts like. You attract to you what vibrates at the same frequency as you. Everything is in a state of vibration, in a state of motion in the universe. You can only attract what you’re in harmony with. You can only attract whatever frequency you’re vibrating on, the one that’s at the same level as you are. So to get what you desire in life, you need to align your vibration to the same frequency as the thing you wish to attract.
The law of attraction also means that you get what you focus on. If you focus on negativity, fear and all the things that are going wrong in your life, you will create and attract more negative experiences in all aspects of your life to match and confirm your own vibrational frequency.
The law of attraction is about aligning yourself with whatever it is that you want.
You can use this law to your own advantage to create a better life for yourself. If you want abundance to manifest in all aspects of your life, focus on love, gratitude, worthiness, joy,… When your own energy frequency is matching the frequency of these things which you desire to see in your life, you will naturally attract them to you, through your experiences, like a magnet. It’s really that simple! You can learn to become a master manifester of your dream life!
Beliefs place a huge role on what we attract and what we create in our life. We attract evidence to confirm our beliefs back to us. What we believe becomes real for us.
Our thoughts are creative. What we are thinking is creating. What if our beliefs are the very construction of our reality? We really do get what we focus on.
The law of attraction is a force. Whatever we put out there must come back to us. What we focus on, we must bring it into our lives.
Here is the tricky part though:
If you really want something you attract it. If you really don’t want something, you attract it too! If we focus on what we don’t want, what we focus on expands. So we’ll get more of what we don’t want. That’s because our subconscious mind doesn’t make the difference between do and don’t, want and don’t want. It just accepts every idea that we introduce to it without any filter.
Our subconscious mind is like a kid – when we tell it what not to do or what we don’t want from it, it will do exactly that. But when we tell it what we want it to do or what we want from it, it will do exactly that too. It’s all about framing our thoughts and words in the direction of what we want.
That’s why it is important to ask the right questions and frame our wants appropriately.
What do you want?
Ask the right questions. We think in terms of questions. But often, we don’t ask the right questions. Our subconscious mind doesn’t judge what we think. It will always provide an answer. So if we ask ourselves “Why am I not good enough?”or “Why am I not feeling good?”, our subconscious mind will come up with lots of answers for us. It just serves us. But rather, we should reframe our questions and ask: “How can I feel better?” “How can I be good enough?”, and as you change the question, as you look for that positive answer, you begin to open up a part of yourself. When we close ourselves down, because of stress, worry, doubts, anxiety,… we block up our body’s natural energy. When we focus on how we can open up, how we can invite answers in, then our energy opens up and expands and our subconscious mind looks for the answers for us.
Reframe your questions. Ask yourself: “What is it that I do want?” We often know what we don’t want. But what do we actually want? Clarity is about knowing what we want in our lives and creating what we do want. As you focus on what you do want, you open yourself up, then your subconscious mind goes looking for the match to what you want.
Here’s a little secret to power boost the law of attraction:
Appreciate what is working for you in your life. Be really grateful for what you already have. Celebrate what is going well in your life. If you focus on it and give it more energy, it will expand and become more.
This can be applied in relationships, finances, business, health, and all other areas of our lives. The good news is that we can change the outcome of our reality by focusing on what we want to create.
From this moment forward, ask yourself: “What is it that I am creating for myself?” Get clear on what it is that you do want to create in your life. As you focus on what you want to create then that’s what you create. Once you commit to something, the universe will assist you, guide you, support you and even create miracles for you.
5. The Law of Inspired Action
This law is about taking action to invite what you want into your life.
In order to attract what we desire, we need to align our actions towards that goal. We need to take inspired steps in the direction of our goal.
Sometimes, this also means letting go of control and being open to all new possibilities. This creates room for new ways to achieve our goal that we may not have considered otherwise. It requires us to be flexible to change.
So it is not enough to visualize our goals, think positively about them and believe in them. We also need to take actionable steps towards them.

6. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
This law states that on an energetic level, everything in the universe is constantly evolving and transforming. Every action is preceded by a thought, with thoughts themselves having the power to manifest in our physical reality.
Higher frequencies transmute lower ones when applied with intention. For example, if we are vibrating at a low frequency and we expose ourselves to a friend who is happy, loving & kind (who is vibrating at a higher frequency), it will naturally trigger an energy transmutation in us. We will raise our own frequency. But it can also work the other way around. Lower frequencies can transmute higher frequencies. We’ve all experienced this. When we are around a negative person who is vibrating low and we feel our own energy depleting and our positivity sink.
This law helps us to understand how we can trigger positive change. We can actively seek to uplift negative energies around us by maintaining positive thoughts and actions.
This law means that even the smallest action can have a profound effect. You can use this law to consciously do small things every day that uplift and push you forward. Consistent small shifts can add up to big results over time.
7. The Law of Cause & Effect
Also known as the law of karma. This law tells us that any action causes a reaction. Whatever you put out, you get back. We often can’t see the effects right away but they will always come back eventually.
This law teaches us to be aware of our own thoughts and actions as they are not just affecting us but everyone and everything around us, like a ripple effect.
8. The Law of Compensation
Also called the law of the harvest. This law is about reaping what we sow. We will be compensated for our work if we’re open to receiving it in all the many ways that the universe can deliver.
It’s about getting compensation for all our contributions to the world around us. It is not just limited to financial compensation. So even the love, kindness, forgiveness and joy that you spread around will all be rewarded to you in unique ways.
This law is a good reminder to be careful about how we treat others as well as the planet and all its living forms.
9. The Law of Relativity
Everything is about perspective and perception in life. We are the ones who assign meaning to things, people and our experiences. So we can choose how we perceive them.
Nothing and no one is all good or bad. Everything exists on a spectrum of expression and there is more than one perspective on any situation.
This law helps us to see things with more neutrality and relativism.
“Life is simple. Everything happens for you, not to you. Everything happens at exactly the right moment, neither too soon nor too late.” – Byron Katie
10. The Law of Polarity
Everything in the universe has a polar opposite. Where there is light, there is also darkness. If there’s an up, there’s a down. Something can be cold or hot, good or bad. One cannot exist without the other. They are 2 sides of the same coin.
Experiencing these polarities is part of the human experience. They help us to learn what we like or dislike, what we want and don’t want. This law also teaches us to learn from our mistakes.
We can use this law to bring more clarity to situations where we feel stuck on the negative side of things. If we face challenges or difficult situations, we can remember that there is always an opposite situation to what we are experiencing. Tuning into the polar opposite of what we are experiencing could bring a new perspective to it and teach us a lesson.
11. The Law of Rhythm
Also known as the law of perpetual motion. This law tells us that everything in the universe is constantly changing. If things get tough, remember that this too shall pass. It also encourages us to appreciate each moment and stage of our life as they will soon be gone.
Everything unfolds in its own time and nothing lasts forever. Embrace each new stage of your life and savor each moment for they won’t last.
12. The Law of Gender
The law of gender shows that there is feminine (yang) and masculine (yin) energy in all things, even within us. They are the primal forces of the universe.
To live more authentically is to find balance between the divine masculine and the divine feminine energies. We need to allow both energies within us.
The bottom line
Understanding the 12 laws shows us how to master life on all levels and gives us insights into what we can do to reach our goals.
Now that you’ve been introduced to the 12 laws of the universe, you may notice them coming up in your life and around you again and again.
These laws are universal. Meaning they apply to the entire world and there is no one to whom they don’t apply. So they work every single day, for every single person, in every single country.
Align yourself with the laws. When you align yourself with the laws, there’s an ease and flow that comes in your life.
If you are struggling in one area of your life, it means that you are not aligned with the laws. So, look at where you are not in harmony with the laws of the universe, and realign your frequency to them. Make the laws work for you rather than you working against them. Your life will get much easier!
When we violate the laws we lose, and when we live in harmony with the laws we win.
This is a good time to do a reality check. Analyze your thoughts, actions, beliefs and views. Where are you struggling in your life? Could it be because you are working against the laws of the universe?
All our problems are either formulated or dissolved by our thinking. So if we align ourselves to the laws of the universe, we can create our best life yet!
